Once again LIWF and Distil organiser, Brintex, has teamed up
with TastingBuddy to provide the eCatalogue - The List - for the
2010 show. Significant improvements have been made to The
List for 2010 in order to increase the choice of promotional
opportunities for exhibitors, and broaden the appeal of The List to
a wider range of visitors to the LIWF.
As in previous years the List will enable visitors to the LIWF
to plan, search and select wines from the entire catalogue of
exhibiting companies as part of their preparation. However,
the search facility has been streamlined for 2010, which now
focuses on the most important criteria for LIWF visitors. In
a few simple clicks, the thousands of wines can be reduced to a
personalised tasting list, which can be printed out or downloaded,
allowing visitors to plan their time much more effectively.
Other key innovations for visitors include:
- The "most popular" section has been added this year - a dynamic
listing of the most popular wines as selected by visitors
- The "recently added" section - Visitors will also be given up
to date information on which wines have been added to The List on a
daily basis
- Visitors can build up their own list of wines using the "my
wine list" tool, which can also be accessed and displayed via a
Facebook application.
Furthermore, The List will be linked to The Interactive
Floorplan on the LIWF website, enabling visitors to pinpoint
exactly where specific wines are available to taste and plot their
location on a personalised, downloadable map.
LIWF exhibitors will be able to register their wines on The List
free of charge and TastingBuddy has devised a number of promotional
opportunities for them to benefit from. These include:
- The Highlight - places wines above free listings, guaranteeing
increased exposure
- Medal Winners - medal logo is placed next to the wine making it
stand out above competitors
- Quick Link - a web link that instantly shows an exhibitor's
line-up at the Fair
- Sponsored Link - a permanent link on The List 2010 homepage
ensuring that thousands of visitors are only one click away from
seeing an entire list of a specific exhibitor's wines
To date visitors have made over 20,000 individual searches,
demonstrating that The List provides 365 days of publicity for the
products registered and transforms the LIWF into a year-round
online event.
The List 2010 is now live and ready for input by exhibitors and
accessible via the Exhibitor Zone at www.londonwinefair.com.
The List will be available to LIWF visitors approximately four
weeks before the LIWF starts.
