Austrian Wine Seminar

The success of Austrian wines in the international arena continues unabated. With such a diverse range of unique, food-friendly varieties and styles - all born from some of the most distinctive terroirs in the world - these wines truly capture the imagination.

During the LIWF, five Austrian wine seminars will be conducted by wine writer       Darrel Joseph, who specializes in the wines and wine regions of Austria.

The seminars, listed below, will be held at the Austrian stands I 52 - I 60.

Daily, 10.00 am

  • GrĂ¼ner Veltliner - an Austrian tour de force

            The styles and origins of Austria's great white grape.

 

Tuesday, 3.00 pm

  • Austria's Remarkable Red Wines

            Gathering momentum around the world.

 

Wednesday, 3.00 pm

  • Steiermark - a Great Sauvignon Blanc Terroir!

            And a genuine point of difference to the Loire and New Zealand.

 

Also held daily at 1.00 pm will be:

  • Austria by the Glass

Riedel Comparative Wine Tasting on the Art of Wine Glass Design.
